Fonts vs Typefaces
A typeface means a style of lettering that can be used in many different typesetting systems.
A font (today) means a digital implementation of a typeface.

OFL
The SIL Open Font License and the Open Font Library unfortunately share the same acronym, OFL.
To avoid confusion, please refer to the Open Font License as "the OFL" and the Open Font Library as the "OFLB"

Free Font Movement
A term coined by Ellen Lupton in September 2006 for her keynote presentation to the ATypI 2006 Lisbon conference, to encompass all the various Free Software Movement projects to create Free Software fonts and font tools.
